Open source content management systems have both pros and cons. Key benefits, this is:

  • project implementation rate – it is much higher than to create its own content management system;
  • finances – when applying ready-made solutions, no longer need to program them, so it is used significantly fewer working hours;
  • reliability – system also improved by a large community of programmers, as the open code, means that all programmers can contribute to its development, which gives the solution credibility, test, the ability to change the supplier. The recipient of the service is not „tied to ” at one service provider.

The whole, open code also means that programmers looking for as a pact have the same opportunity to see and analyze the functions of the system to look for gaps. The use of open source content management systems is particularly important:

  • use a minimum amount of free plugins (brows), as each such plug-in will increase the risk that your website will have security gaps;
  • use the core of the open source system correctly and neatly;
  • create additional functionality for yourself, thus ensuring the safety and reliability of the site.
